I entered the fire service in 2009 as a  junior firefighter with the Hilton fire department , then becoming a Firefighter/EMT with the Brighton Fire Department in Rochester, NY my hometown. In May of 2013 I was elected training officer of the Association of Fire Science Technicians, the student organization at Eastern Kentucky University. I was tasked with creating and developing a hands on fire and technical rescue training program for over seventy firefighters. Since the inception of the program we have completed over 500 hours of hands on training and assisted with countless certifications and career placement. The program has grown to include a staff of training captains/ lieutenants to create its own training division. During my time at EKU I worked as a firefighter for the City of Richmond Fire Department and as a Fire Inspector/ Safety Technician for the Eastern Kentucky University Division of Public Safety.   Currently I am in my senior year of completing my B.S. in Fire Protection Administration and am serving as a firefighter/EMT with Horry County Fire Rescue. and as a member of ISFSI
